- Application to the Director of the Institute of Oceanology – BAS, Varna, in which the candidates indicate the position(s) they are applying for and the foreign language (English, German or French) in which they will take the second competitive exam;
- CV – Europass;
- Master’s degree Diploma with an overall grade of at least “very good” (4.50) and the appendix or a notarized copy thereof;
- Certificate of recognized higher education, if the diploma was issued by a foreign higher education institution;
- Medical certificate;
- Criminal record certificate;
- Candidates can also apply other documents certifying their interests and achievements in the relevant scientific field;
- Invoice (or copy) for a fee equivalent of BGN 30 paid to the bank account of the Institute of Oceanology – BAS, Varna. (The fee does not depend on the number of competitions in which the candidates participate).

9. Candidates without diplomas present a certificate from the higher school of completed education, which necessarily indicates the average success of the course and the grade from the defense of the diploma thesis /or from the state exam/.
PhD candidates will be officially notified for their admission to the competition.
The exams will be held:
Special exam between 12th and 16th June 2023
Language exam between 19th and 23rd June 2023
Requirements:
Candidates who have successfully passed the competitive exams are those who have received a grade from the special exam at least very good (4.50) and from the language exam – not less than good (4.00).
